Summer Farmers Market
Booths are up and vendors are ready for summer farmers market season the first Saturday in May! The Oconomowoc Area Chamber of Commerce presents this very popular market which features and
excellent blend of all things maker and grower. Market runs 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. Saturdays May-October.

City Beach Opens
Just across the street from the farmers market the beach awaits. Swim, kayak, paddleboard, just plain relax. Great playground, too. City Beach is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. The beach is staff with lifeguards from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. weather permitting. Anyone ages 6 and up needs a pass to swim and play on the beach.

Memorial Day Remembrance
The
Oconomowoc Area Veterans Committee continues the tradition of a Memorial Day Remembrance on Monday, May 31. The remembrance begins at the Rhodee Memorial Band Shell at City Beach, 324 West Wisconsin Avenue, at 10 a.m. The traditional ceremony will feature musical and military salutes to America’s fallen heroes and the sacrifices and commitment of all of America’s military forces. A parade follows the ceremony at the band shell at approximately 11 a.m. It will proceed east on Wisconsin Avenue to Oakwood Avenue where it will stop for a brief ceremony on Veterans Bridge. Following the traditional throwing of the wreath, the parade will continue to LaBelle cemetery where floral, military, and musical tributes will recognize those veterans who have passed since last Memorial Day.

Lake Country Dockhounds Baseball Begins
A very exciting addition to the Oconomowoc area is this independent minor league baseball team. The Lake Country Dockhounds celebrate their season opener May 13 against the Milwaukee Milkmen and things just keep rolling from there. Louie the mascot is paws down one of the coolest guys around. He's hoping you come to his dog park at Wisconsin Brewing Co. Park this summer for loads of fun!
