Ice Skating on Fowler Lake - Rink is open! Nothing beats the experience of skating outside on the lake. Downtown Oconomowoc offers the perfect scenery and location. After skating there are plenty of options for warming up at downtown cafes and restaurants! Park downtown and put your skates on at benches off of Village Green Park where there is an easy access point onto the lake.
Sledding - There are many options for sledding in the area. Our friends at Lake Country Family fun have compiled a SWEET sledding directory. Close by you can slip on a small hill in Fowler Park. You can also go for something a big bigger at Nature Hill Recreation Area. All listed in the guide.
Snow Shoe or Cross Country Ski - Our friends at local business Nordic Specialists can outfit you to do these winter sports. They offer rentals and gear at their location and they also keep hours at nearby Lapham Peak.

Learn about Oconomowoc's Wintry History - Did you know there used to be a speed skating rink here? What about a ski jump? Learn all this fun info and more when you visit the Oconomowoc Area Historical Society and Museum. Hours are 10am-4pm Monday and Tuesday starting Feb. 1 through April.
